Study: 31% of Russians check their smartphones as soon as they wake up

Almost a third (31%) of Russians buy a smartphone as soon as they wake up. socialbites.ca learned this from a study conducted by the Motive agency and production company at the disposal of the editors.

The same number (31%) Russians turn to the device during the first 10 minutes after waking up. 23% in the first 30 minutes and approximately 10% in the first hour.

There are similar statistics on the use of gadgets before bedtime. For example, 56% of respondents pick up their smartphone 30 minutes before bed for the last time in a day, 19% – from half an hour to an hour, and 8% – 1-2 hours before bedtime. Also, 10% admitted to falling asleep with a smartphone in hand.

At the same time, more than half (58%) of respondents said they put their smartphones next to the bed, a quarter (25%) – on the bed or even under the pillow. The rest leave the device inside the room. In addition, 40% of the respondents stated that they had sleep problems.

The motivational agency&production survey was conducted from March 27 to March 30 using the online panel of Surveyolog.ru. More than 1,800 people who own at least one smartphone took part in the survey.
