Boris Rotenberg’s company ANO “SMP Racing” began developing a realistic racing video game in the style of the popular Assetto Corsa car simulator. In this respect informs Kommersant version.
It is worth noting that the game was created specifically as a simulator, so it was immediately sharpened for a control system in which the steering wheel and pedals would participate. The project was led by Alexander Moiseev, former CEO of Rutube.
“We have a big plan to create a Russian Assetto Corsa, for this we currently need about 300 developers,” Moiseev told Kommersant.
Assetto Corsa is a challenging racing game from the Italian studio Kunos Simulazioni, often called the most realistic racing game in the world by gamers and journalists.
According to him, a working prototype of the game could be shown as early as 2024. Most likely, this will take place as part of the Future Games esports event in Kazan.
The project will be released in three years at the latest. Moiseev noted that the game will also be published on the Russian platform VK.Play.
Taking into account the fact that ANO SMP Racing could hire 300 developers, the company estimates the cost of the project to be around $18 million per year.
