WhatsApp developers are preparing to release an updated messaging interface on smartphones running Android. In this respect informs WABetaInfo portal.
In beta version 2.23.8.4 of WhatsApp for Android, it was noted that an updated design of the homepage was discovered. Apparently, the WhatsApp interface will be redesigned and look more like the iPhone version – a navigation bar will appear at the bottom of the messenger screen. In the current version, sections of the app have been moved to the top of the screen.
According to WABetaInfo, the difference between the WhatsApp interface on Android and iOS often confuses users switching from one platform to another. This solution will be designed to solve this problem. In addition, users have long asked developers to update the design of the application and make it more modern and intuitive.
The updated interface for WhatsApp is under development and will be released in a future update of the messenger, but the detailed timeline has not yet been disclosed.
