Senior Sales Manager Doug Beck left Apple to join the US Department of Defense. Agency reports Bloomberg.

It is stated that Beck is not the only senior executive to leave the company recently from Cupertino. The agency pointed to the trend within Apple to replace many key executives.

The US Department of Defense has confirmed information about Beck’s firing from Apple and the transition to work in their department. The Pentagon has praised Beck for nearly 15 years at Apple.

The executive joined Apple in 2009 and has since reported directly to CEO Tim Cook. Initially, Beck was responsible for joint leadership of Apple’s global business and also led the tech giant’s business in Asia and the Americas for several years.

Before joining Apple, Beck served as a captain in the US Naval Reserve in operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Apple said in a statement that the company “supports Doug’s public service and wishes him the best.”

According to Bloomberg, Beck was among fewer than 20 executives reporting directly to Tim Cook.
