The United States government has entered into a secret contract with the Israeli company NSO Group, which developed the Pegasus spyware (SW). The post writes about it New York Times.
It was noted that the agreement was signed between a company representing the US authorities and a US branch of NSO Group. Under the contract, Washington may use Landmark software that allows you to locate the phone anywhere in the world without the owner’s knowledge.
Journalists noted that the deal was signed five days after the administration of US President Joe Biden announced its intention to take action, declaring NSO Group a “threatening to national security”.
