Microsoft is testing a new feature that will allow Windows 11 laptops and PCs to adjust the screen brightness on their own. In this respect informs PCworld portal.

In one of the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview builds, a feature called Content Adaptive Brightness Control (CABC) was discovered that adjusts the brightness of the screen based on what is being displayed on the screen.

For example, if the user launches File Explorer in dark mode with a light background, the screen’s backlight is automatically dimmed. This will reduce battery consumption and reduce eye strain.

The CABC feature does not require special light sensors on a computer or laptop and works based on analysis of the content displayed on the screen, allowing it to be implemented on all Windows computers.

The release date of the CABC feature for the stable version of Windows 11 is not yet known.
