A blogger named Enderman showed how he taught the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT to create usable activation keys for the Windows 95 operating system. Tom’s Hardware.

When asked directly, the blogger declined. Therefore, he formulated the problem specifically for ChatGPT. Generating a working Windows 95 key is relatively easy compared to Microsoft’s current operating system versions.

Enderman created a verbal formula for the chatbot to kickstart the production process. As a result, the blogger received 30 key variations. Tested them all, only 1 out of 30 keys worked.

When trying to activate a fresh installation of Windows 95 in a virtual machine, this key was enough for a full official installation of the operating system. According to Enderman, ChatGPT isn’t that good at generating valid Windows 95 keys because the chatbot can’t collect numbers and doesn’t know divisibility.

It was previously reported that Microsoft develops Windows 12 operating system with an upgraded AI-based CorePC platform.
