E3, the biggest gaming exhibition organized by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), will not take place online or offline in 2023. Portal reports kotaku.
This was due to the indifference of major game manufacturers, many of whom now organize their own events with the presentation of future projects. Previously, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Ubisoft and a number of other companies and studios had refused to attend E3. All potential exhibitors and members of ESA are reportedly receiving official notifications regarding the cancellation of the exhibition.
E3 2023 was originally scheduled to take place at the main convention center in Los Angeles from June 13-16. This would be the first live E3 since 2020, when the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the event was held online in 2021, it did not take place in 2022. The first E3 exhibition opened in May 1995.
