The iPhone 15 Pro Max will be the first Apple smartphone to use a periscope telephoto module to optically zoom distant objects for photos and videos. In this respect writer MacRumor’s publication citing renowned TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to an insider source, Largan will produce the necessary photomodules for Apple. It will sell parts to a US company for $4, below industry analysts’ forecasts. Kuo believes Largan won’t be able to take advantage of the deal by accepting a lower price. However, that could change in 2024 with the next-generation iPhone, which will use the same modules as the 15 Pro Max, according to Kuo.
A TF International expert claims that only the most expensive model 15 Pro Max in the 15th generation of Apple smartphones will receive a new periscope lens. At the same time, with the release of the iPhone 16, the feature will reach the regular Pro version.
