British Home Secretary Tom Tugendhat said that British intelligence will create a new department using artificial intelligence to complete the work of MI5 and MI6 services. He talked about it in an interview. Telegram.
“With the right emphasis on skilled specialists, training and application of technologies such as neural networks and artificial intelligence, he (new department. – socialbites.ca) will significantly expand our capabilities,” said Tugendhat.
According to him, the new department will specialize mainly in information from open sources.
A Home Office spokesperson said the new ministry will not monitor British citizens. At the same time, it is planned to share the intelligence data received with Britain’s allies.
The size and budget of the new division have yet to be determined.
