Apple CEO Tim Cook traveled to China to visit a local Apple Store and attend a national economic forum. Agency reports Bloomberg.
It was noted that the chairman of Apple Cook is one of the very few senior businessmen from the USA who decided to attend the conference in person. This highlights the growing uncertainty of doing business in China in the current geopolitical climate.
According to a Bloomberg source, the low number of US businessmen this year is testament to the desire of US companies to keep their activities in China private for fear of attracting unwanted attention from Washington.
Shortly before joining the forum, Tim Cook visited the Apple retail store in Beijing’s trendy Sanlitun district, where he listened to Chinese singer Huang Ling’s performance and posed with fans of the company’s devices.
