Hong Kong-based startup Focusound has unveiled transparent speakers of the same name that can act as photo frames. In this respect informs portal Hi-Tech Mail.Ru.

Focusound isn’t like regular speakers—it’s a metal frame with a glass panel and built-in vibration motors that make the glass vibrate at a certain frequency, providing clear sound. According to the manufacturer, the speakers have a point sound, so you can only hear the sound from the speaker if it is directly in front of the user. If desired, you can install several speakers in one room – so several people can listen to different music without the distraction of the other.

Focusound can also be used as a photo frame – you can put a calendar, favorite pictures or notes behind the glass. At the same time, foreign objects will not affect the sound quality in any way. The speakers can be connected to computers, TVs and smartphones using Bluetooth or a 3.5mm audio jack. When purchasing two Focusounds, they can be combined into a stereo pair.

Focusound is available for pre-order on Kickstarter for $700. The first buyers are expected to receive their speakers in the coming months.
