Tinkoff Journal author Dasha Leizarenko experimented with the Midjourney neural network and created Images from the TV series “One of Us” set in the USSR. In the “Soviet” version, the planet was engulfed by a parsnip epidemic, while in the original show it was a cordyceps fungus.

The author used the fifth version of the Midjourney neural network, which can generate realistic images from a textual description. He added the word “soviet” to each request and set a 3:2 aspect ratio. He added the phrase “film photo” or “taken by Andrei Tarkovsky” to the end of his request to add more atmosphere to the paintings.

Moreover, as Leizarenko points out, he did not give detailed descriptions of zombies and heroes, as he wanted to see unexpected details. The author described Soviet architecture in more detail.

Leizarenko also added that the “Soviet” Joel and Ellie appeared almost instantly, and attempts to improve them did not bring success to the author. In total, the curious posted 14 pictures.
