Global investment in innovative artificial intelligence (AI) development projects fell 34% last year to $45.8 billion, according to a major analytics firm that tracks investment market trends. CB Feedback.

“Global AI funding has dropped to $45.8 billion in 2022,” the statement said.

According to the company, there were 2,956 transactions in the global AI space in 2022, down 10% from 2021.

The report says that investments in the Russian market have almost halved. Thus, 128 transactions (2021 – 291) were concluded last year and investment volume decreased by 57% to 1.1 billion dollars.

According to experts, the reason for the decline was the conflict in Ukraine, anti-Russian sanctions from Western countries and the relocation of many projects and experts abroad.
