The prototype smartphone Google Pixel 7a went on sale on eBay before the official announcement of the gadget by the manufacturer. The portal drew attention to this. Android Police.

The seller’s initial offer was $1,650 (about 126,000 rubles). From the description of the lot it becomes clear that the smartphone does not work and is intended for disassembly for spare parts. As noted by the seller, the gadget remained in the “Quick Download” state. Despite the lack of a SIM tray, the smartphone is in “excellent cosmetic condition” apart from that. It is known that the device will be sent to a potential buyer from Athens.

At the time of writing, the lot was closed by the seller because “the item is no longer available”. As noted by Android Police, it’s possible that Google removed the announcement before the smartphone was sold.

The Pixel 7a smartphone is expected to be officially unveiled at the Google I/O 2023 conference, which is scheduled to start on May 10.
