The impact of the operational efficiency improvement program implemented at the Saratov Refinery, which is part of the Rosneft oil refining complex, exceeded RUB 1.4 billion last year. According to the press service of Rosneft, thanks to the increase in operational efficiency, the company was able to increase its production of light petroleum products.
Representatives of the Saratov Refinery point out that systematic work to increase the efficiency of production facilities is one of the key elements of Rosneft’s strategy.
The company announced that it carries out systematic studies to reduce the operating costs of enterprises by offering advanced technological solutions.
As part of the program to improve operational efficiency, the Saratov Refinery carried out the first phase of the project to rebuild the primary oil refining unit ELOU-AVT-6 to incorporate “light” oil into the process. This made it possible to increase the yield of light oil products by 25.4 thousand tons per year.
In addition, the company was able to increase fuel consumption, heat and electrical efficiency. With the measures taken in 2022, 3.5 million kWh of electricity and more than 6.5 thousand tons of fuel were saved.
The company states that when developing programs to optimize and rationalize production processes, great attention is paid to the suggestions put forward by the employees. For example, in 2022, the Saratov Refinery employees submitted 19 rationalization proposals with significant potential economic impact.
