Samsung has released an official statement after the allegations of deception – previous social network users said that Galaxy S Ultra smartphones cannot capture the Moon in the quality the devices give, but instead show frames with a satellite image that has been heavily modified by the neural network. Portal reports Border.

The South Korean seller said in a statement that Galaxy S Ultra smartphones have enabled the Scene Optimizer function, which with multi-zoom allows artificial intelligence to reduce the brightness and improve the details of the resulting image. Thus, Samsung has confirmed that it does indeed use neural networks when processing the photos, and does not deny that the photos taken through the lens are far from the final result shown to the user.

As noted by The Verge, Samsung’s statement on algorithms is unlikely to please users, especially given that the company misleads consumers by talking about zoom features that smartphones can’t actually do.
