For the popular collectible card game (CCG), Magic: The Gathering has announced an add-on to the Lord of the Rings universe in which Aragorn, one of the main characters in JRR Tolkien’s fantasy novels, is rendered black. In this respect informs VGTimes version.
The addon is called The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth. It will contain three sets of cards from which you can create several themed decks.
The new cards will feature many famous characters from the Lord of the Rings books and movies. In particular, the wizard Gandalf, the hobbits Sam and Frodo, Gollum and the villain Sauron will be added to the CCI.
However, the map of Aragorn and Arwen attracted the most attention of the community. The fact is that on it the king of all people is depicted as a dark-skinned man. The inconsistency between the established image of Aragorn and the new one caused outrage among many fans of Magic: The Gathering and The Lord of the Rings. Fan discussions on Reddit, for example, have caused admins to start turning off comments below posts with a map of Aragorn from TCG.
