Artificial intelligence (AI) supposed to be the world’s first “robot lawyer” has been sued – accused of not having legal training and a license to work. It has been reported daily mail.

The plaintiff in this case is the American law firm Edelson. It accuses AI apps company DoNotPay of offering its services “under the guise of legitimate apps.”

The essence of DoNotPay is that it offers customers a chatbot that helps them build their own lines of defense and participate, for example, in lawsuits against large corporations. To do this, the bot asks a series of questions about the case, decides whether you can file an appeal, and even creates a statement that you need to go to court. However, Edelson representatives believe that the creators of the service are operating illegally.

“Unfortunately, for its clients, DoNotPay is neither a robot, nor a lawyer, nor a law firm. The plaintiff said in a statement that DoNotPayt has no legal training and license.

DoNotPay representatives have not yet made an official statement about the lawsuit filed against them.
