An enhanced version of the PlayStation 5 game console could be released at the end of next year. About it on his blog on Insider Gaming reported well-known insider and game journalist Tom Henderson.
According to Henderson, Sony has been working on the PlayStation 5 Pro for a while. The source does not know for sure how the Pro version will differ from the original model, but suggests that the console will become more powerful and also learn how to load games faster. The journalist in particular expects to see advanced ray tracing.
An insider also knows that before the end of 2023, Sony will release a light version of the PlayStation 5. Unlike the original model, it will have a removable drive that will make the console more compact. Henderson has written about him many times before.
As a result, the journalist stated that, given the current hardware upgrade cycle for consoles, it is unlikely that Sony will release the next-generation PlayStation before 2028.
