Before the end of the spring session, a draft law should be submitted to the State Duma, in which Internet services (including online cinemas and music streaming) must notify using push notifications or emails about charging users for a subscription. “Kommersant”.

The publication says that development of the document began last year. Originally, an upcoming payment notification was supposed to include a button that lets you unsubscribe. But now the bill says that services should send customers a link to the user agreement and other subscription-related information instead of an opt-out button.

The authors of the article note that discussion of the project was blocked due to “serious opposition from the business community.”
