According to new rumors, Snapdragon Gen3 will get eight cores like the previous Snapdragon Gen2, but they will be arranged differently. Gen2 has one prolific core (3.36 GHz Cortex-X3), four auxiliaries (two Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A710) with 2.8 GHz, and three power efficient (2.02 GHz Cortex-A510) In this case, the Gen3 will have one prolific core (Cortex-X4 at 3.2 GHz), five auxiliary cores (Cortex A72 at 3 GHz), and only two power efficient cores (Cortex-A520 at 2 GHz).
