Fortnite stopped working on older versions of Windows

The new season of Fortnite, called Mega, will launch only on computers of users with Windows 10 – the game has officially stopped supporting older versions of the Microsoft operating system. Portal reports Border.

“As previously announced, as of Episode 4 of Season 2, players must be running Windows 10 or later to continue playing Fortnite officially on PC. Windows 7 and Windows 8 are no longer supported by Fortnite,” @FortniteStatus said on Twitter account in an official post.

It was announced in December last year by developer Epic Games that older versions of Windows will no longer be supported by Fortnite. The game is still available on other platforms – PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Android. If someone isn’t ready to upgrade Windows yet, Epic recommends using cloud services that will bypass this limitation.
