Telegram has many features that make using the messenger more comfortable, but few people know about them. Pavel Korostelev, head of the product promotion department of the security code company, spoke about this in an interview with socialbites.ca.
“For example, deleting messages for a certain period of time. If you click on the date plate in any chat, the calendar will open. Here you can select certain days and completely delete correspondence – this function, of course, only works in personal chats, ”the expert shared.
Also, the messenger is capable of sending delayed and silent messages. In order for the message to be sent at a certain time, you need to type the text and then hold the send button and select “Send later”. Korostelev believes that this is a useful feature that can be used as a reminder for the interlocutor. Likewise, you can send messages in silent mode – the addressee will not receive a notification. This may be appropriate in a situation where you do not want to distract the interlocutor.
“If you sin with memory, Telegram can be a great “alarm clock”. The algorithm of actions is the same as for the delayed sending function, you only need to go to “Favorites”. Here we also print the necessary text, for example, “call mom”, hold the send button and set the time ” shared the expert.
Telegram has a wide range of features, many of which are not even included in the stable build of the app yet. However, they can already be included in the testing phase. On iPhone, all you have to do is tap ten times on “Settings” in the navigation menu and on Android open “Settings” from the side menu, go to the end of the feed and hold down the “For Telegram” button. Use “Android” until a notification with a smiley appears, then the process should be repeated.
“After that, you will be taken to an extensive menu where you can click on the sliders that open certain functions,” Korostelev concluded.
