According to the press service of the operator, the company MegaFon offered the enterprise a set of native operating systems in the cloud service. Now corporate customers in MegaFon Cloud have access to native systems based on the Linux kernel – Astra Linux, Viola and Red OS, included in the unified registry of Russian software of the Ministry of Digital Development.
The company states that the proposed alternatives to foreign operating systems – native Linux systems – have a clear interface and a high level of security, the functionality and configuration of the solutions allow users to easily adapt after a foreign counterpart.
The cloud model gives companies the chance to use the provider’s expertise and maintain the efficiency of their existing business processes when migrating to the new software specified in MegaFon.
Alexander Osipov, manager of cloud platforms and infrastructure solutions at MegaFon, emphasizes that after the departure of foreign vendors, many companies are deprived of product updates and support.

MegaFon Cloud is certified according to Russian law and the required GOST. Companies can host government information systems and financial sector information systems, including those that fall into critical information infrastructure categories.
A seamless transition to virtual operating systems is available to both commercial companies, including those providing financial services under license from the Central Bank of Russia, and government customers who by law need to use registry software.
