China unveils Nubia Z50 Ultra smartphone with “invisible camera”

Subsidiary brand ZTE Nubia introduced the flagship smartphone Z50 Ultra with a sub-screen front camera and an unusual design in China. In this respect informs GSMArena portal.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra has a 6.8-inch flat and rectangular OLED display manufactured by the Chinese company BOE. The display can operate at a frequency of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. A key feature of the device is the 16-megapixel fourth-generation front camera placed under the screen.

The main camera uses a 64MP Sony IMX787 sensor with a 35mm focal length, while other devices tend to use 24-25mm cameras. The main camera is complemented by a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with a focal length of 85 mm and an ultra-wide-angle module with a resolution of 50 megapixels.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone also received a 5000 mAh battery with 80 W charging.

The Nubia Z50 Ultra is available in gray and black. A special version of the smartphone with Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” painting on the back will also be on sale. The cost of new items in the modification with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage will be 5 thousand yuan (about 54.4 thousand rubles).
