This will be possible thanks to a new messaging feature that will let you mute calls from strangers. The feature is currently in beta testing on Android smartphones and can be enabled in settings.
It is stated that missed and incoming silent calls will continue to be displayed in the call list as well as the notification center. The new feature is designed to protect users from unwanted calls, as well as spammers and scammers who may call to obtain personal information or make an unsolicited payment.
The function to mute calls from unknown numbers is under testing, the timing of its implementation in the messenger is unknown.
