Canadian broadcaster Kaydei “Kyedae” Shimko told viewers she had been diagnosed with a rare form of blood and bone marrow cancer. It has been reported Dexerto.
“I was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (cancer). I will start treatment soon. I’m not entirely sure how my body will respond to the treatment,” he wrote. Shimko explained that he plans to continue broadcasting, but may not be scheduled due to treatment.
According to Dexerto, this is a rare type of cancer in people younger than 45. According to statistics, 60% to 70% of adults with a similar type of cancer achieve a state of complete remission after treatment. However, these data are correct if the treatment is prescribed immediately after the discovery of the disease.
Kyedae has over two million Twitch followers. It abruptly stopped broadcasting on February 21. Learning of the diagnosis, many streamers came out to support Shimko and wished for strength during her treatment.
