Roskomnadzor asked Telegram to block the channel of Safe Internet League director Ekaterina Mizulina, which was not done on her behalf. It has been reported TASS with reference to the press service of the department.

As reported in Roskomnadzor, the department received information about a channel on Telegram that was distributing “false, misleading information” on behalf of Mizulina.

In connection with this, they stated that a letter was sent to the messenger requesting that access to the account be restricted and that Mizulina verify the real Telegram channel.

Mizulina previously wrote on her Telegram channel that her scam appeared in December on the reporter who spread unreliable news on her behalf. According to him, there are at least 14 similar fake channels on Telegram. At the same time, according to him, Telegram is not responding to numerous requests from the Safe Internet League to support service. He also said that he appealed to Roskomnadzor on March 2, requesting Telegram “to provide feedback with the users of the platform and take action against the fake channel”.
