Apple renews its dinosaur documentary series Prehistoric Planet for a second season

Apple has announced that its special show Prehistoric Planet has been renewed for a second season. Message about it appeared on the official Twitter account of the Apple TV + service.

“New dinosaurs. New habitats. New season,” Apple wrote.

Attached to the announcement is a 30-second video teaser of the dinosaur protecting itself from a predatory relative. In doing so, the dinosaur comically spreads its short legs to the sides, as if preparing to embrace its opponent. The predator sniffs the victim’s armpits and then walks away.

Apple also noted that the second season of “Prehistoric Planet” will premiere on May 22.

Prehistoric Planet is a dinosaur documentary series directed by The Mandalorian director Jon Favreau. The off-screen text in the series is read by the famous British naturalist David Attenborough. In the Russian adaptation of the show, he is voiced by zoologist and TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov.

The first season of “Prehistoric Planet” was warmly received by viewers from all over the world. For example, Rotten Tomatoes has the highest freshness index at 100% on the aggregator site. And on KinoPoisk, the show scored 8.3 out of 10.
