Critics praise the new game about the demons of medieval China

Game media has started to publish reviews about Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the new game of Team Ninja, known for its Nioh duology. PC version of the novelty on the Metacritic aggregator site accepted 82 out of 100 based on 17 reviews.

First of all, the game’s combat system received praise. The parry system inside reminded journalists of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, one of the games of FromSoftware studio, which is considered the ancestor of the souls-like genre. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty also performs there.

Team Ninja is playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in addition to PC. The Sony console version scored 81 out of 100 based on 48 reviews, while the Xbox version received 80 out of 100 from 18 reviewers. All three versions of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are currently ranked among the top 15 games of 2023 according to Metacritic.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set in the Three Kingdoms setting with fantasy elements based on Chinese mythology (similar to the European Middle Ages). The main character is an unnamed soldier who must continue on his way to his goal by killing various monsters and demons.
