In January, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple has canceled the iPhone SE 4 launch in 2024. Now, according to Kuo, Apple is back to developing a budget device, informs MacRumors portal.
According to the analyst, the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 5G module developed by Apple itself. The current iPhone SE also supports 5G, but uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon X57 chip.
It’s unclear whether the new iPhone SE will get a Touch ID fingerprint scanner or whether Apple will equip the smartphone with a Face ID scanner. Earlier, rumors were discussed on the network that a side-mounted fingerprint scanner will appear on a budget device.
The exact release date of the new iPhone has not been specified. Considering that the last two models were released two times in the spring, there’s a good chance Apple could introduce a new product before March 2024. For example, the current iPhone SE was launched in March 2022 priced at $429. This is the latest Apple smartphone with home button and Touch ID.
