The American company Apple has paid a fine of 906 million rubles by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of the Russian Federation in the case of Kaspersky Lab’s abuse of its dominant position in the iOS application distribution market. “Apple paid the anti-monopoly fine in the amount of 906 million rubles. That’s the case with Kaspersky Lab,” said the agency’s source.
He added that the company was threatened with doubling the fine if it was not paid on time.
Previously RT, FAS fine 1.2 billion rubles, as Apple imposes the use of the payment system in the applications of Russian developers.
The media adds that developer Kaspersky Lab has complained about Apple. The companies worked together to ensure that the developer’s “parental control” app met the child protection app store’s requirements. According to the company’s press service, there are 13 Kaspersky Lab apps in the App Store.
