At the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2023 video game show, Japanese publisher Konami may present a new chapter in the Castlevania series and a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 (MGS 3). About this, in the new edition of the VGC podcast, citing anonymous sources said Andy Robinson is the editor-in-chief of the Video Games Chronicle.
According to Robinson, Konami is actively working to revive its top franchises. The journalist claims that the Japanese broadcaster has “grand plans” for the upcoming E3 on a comparable scale to the announcement of the new Silent Hill in October 2022.
According to Robinson, at E3, Konami will at least show off a new Castlevania, as well as a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, one of the most successful entries in the series. It is claimed that Konami wants to test the interest of gamers in the series by publishing the remake of MGS 3. According to the journalist, the Japanese company most likely will not hold a separate show to show the games in question, but will attend the presentation of some platform owners – Sony or Microsoft.
In 2023, E3 will take place from June 13-16. It is already known that the exhibition will not be visited by Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. The first two companies are said to hold separate events in the days surrounding the E3 dates.
