Hackers hacking radio stations in parts of Russia can remotely access their servers because they are connected to the global network. In an interview with RIAMO about this said cyber expert Sergey Vakulin. According to him, hackers replaced one of the files in the playlists with an “air raid” announcement.

“I think the hackers changed the file that should have aired instead of posting everything online, because it’s dangerous for hackers to stream online – they can easily figure it out,” Vakulin said.

He added that the attack took place in the early hours of the morning, probably when no one was in the studio and a pre-made playlist was on the air. According to the expert, malicious people can exploit “consolidated” information to gain access to internal servers.

Previously on Baza Telegram channel reportedHe said that on the morning of February 22, warnings of the “air strike” and the threat of missile strikes could be heard on three Russian radio stations in the Belgorod, Stary Oskol, Ufa, Kazan, Novouralsk and Moscow region. Later, the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation declared that it was a hacker attack.
