Valve suspended more than 40,000 Dota 2 accounts for cheating. It has been reported forbes.

We’re talking about players caught using third-party software to gain an unfair advantage in the game. Once Valve figured out how cheats worked, with the latest update, they set a “trap” in Dota 2 by adding some data that casual players never had access to – they only deal with programs used by cheaters. After that, all accounts suspected of cheating were blocked.

“All accounts banned today have requested access to this data, so we are confident that each and every one of the bans is deserved, and although there is an extremely large number due to the prevalence of such cheating, this is just one part of our ongoing campaign,” Valve said.
