Microsoft’s iconic Windows XP operating system logo could have been completely different because the company took a long time to choose from 24 alternatives that use elements like frames and stickers. It has been reported single radar.
It has been noted that Windows XP received a 3D version of the classic operating system logo in 2001. But creative agency Frog Design said Microsoft consulted with them after the image was released.
“The Windows badge was necessary to preserve the long-standing value of the brand, while at the same time reflecting an evolution towards a more flexible and user-friendly brand,” said creative director Casey Potter.
As a result, the logo makers at Frog Design presented the tech giant with 50 different variations, some similar to their predecessors, some developing in completely different directions.
For example, in one of the options it was proposed to display the green, yellow, red and blue stickers horizontally in one line, and in the others – to abandon the colors in favor of two blue frames.
More than twenty years after its initial release, Windows XP is still one of Microsoft’s most popular operating systems. It currently continues to work on approximately 1.5 million devices worldwide.
Previously on Microsoft’s official blog there was a postHe talks about the song that “killed” laptops back in the days of Windows XP.
