An eighth grader in the Perm Territory has created a robot that can cut fruit and vegetables to make salads. This was told socialbites.ca at the company Promobot, the development of which became the basis of the Russian schoolgirl project.
The project is based on the Promobot Rooky manipulator. The teenager programmed a robotic arm to which he attached a kitchen knife to create a new assistant in the kitchen. In the published video, a robotic arm cuts a banana into equal slices.
According to the idea of the schoolgirl, the robot can become a full-fledged assistant in the kitchen in Russian homes and apartments. Its development can be useful when preparing meat dishes or slicing ingredients for salads.
In the future, the creator plans to teach the robot how to spin to help prepare soups, broths, pasta sauces, rice and other side dishes.
Previously, the Innopolis University-based NTI Competence Center lab tests started Avatar system designed for remote control of industrial robots.
