Windows 11 may have a new Gallery and a new File Explorer in the near future. Portal reports Tom’s Hardware.

New features were found in the developer version of Windows 11 (build 25300). In the screenshots from Tom’s Hardware, you can see a more modern design of the image gallery and search by various parameters built right into the program window. The Albacore developer who discovered the update adds a new WASDK-based explorer, claiming that the new gallery is based on the extensible XAML markup language.

“It’s not as bright as Phodeo, but I would say my attempt counts,” Albacore said. Phodeo is a 3D media viewing application from Microsoft that was left in the concept stage and never made it to any version of Windows.

It is not yet known when the updated programs will be available to a wide range of Windows 11 users.
