Dambuster has announced that their new game, Dead Island 2, will be released a week earlier than planned. Promotional clip with the related announcement seen on the project’s official Twitter account.
The game was originally scheduled to be released on April 28, 2023. However, in a new post about the conversion of Dead Island 2 to gold (the process of writing the master copy of the game to the discs that will go to the stores later), it is stated that the game will be released on the 21st.
“You asked for it, you got it. Dead Island 2 won gold and came out a week early,” the developers wrote.
Dead Island 2 is the sequel to the grotesque zombie shooter of the same name, set in Los Angeles, which is quarantined due to an unknown virus outbreak. The plot of Dead Island 2 begins a few months after the end of the story of the original Dead Island.
Dead Island 2 will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
