The administration of the Reddit forum has confirmed that there has been a successful hacker attack on the platform. Portal reports Gizmodo.

Unknown attackers broke into Reddit and stole some of the company’s internal documents. It is claimed that user data remained intact during the attack, so commenters on the forum of the same name should not worry.

Hackers used phishing as a way to infiltrate the company’s system. The victim was one of the employees who personally reported the incident to the security service. So far, no ads have been found on the Darknet for the sale of stolen information from Reddit.

As Gizmodo points out, Reddit suffered a similar hack about five years ago. At the same time, the portal is skeptical of the company’s statement that user data is not affected – it is possible that the management is not yet aware of this.

Formerly socialbites.ca we talked about itthat the famous EMPRESS hacker promised to break the protection of the Hogwarts Legacy game within 10 days.
