The developers of the Tinder dating app introduced the incognito mode, which allows you to hide your profile and activities on the service for certain users. It has been reported TechCrunch.
A Tinder spokesperson noted that the mod can also be used to view profiles without appearing in those users’ recommendation feeds.
“Currently, Tinder’s algorithm shows your profile on other members’ recommendations, whether you swipe them left or right. Incognito mode, on the other hand, will hide your profile from other users if you have not shown interest in them,” the service spokesperson explained.
However, the new profile view is only available to users with paid access, i.e. Tinder Plus, Gold or Platinum subscribers. For free users, you can only hide your profile so that it is not visible to anyone in the app.
