Tim Millett, Vice President of Platform Architecture at Apple gave an interview TechCrunch portal where the company talks about its future and its vision of the branded chip as gaming solutions.
Millett admitted that Apple is considering future Mac computers as a gaming platform. At the same time, studies have been carried out on the gaming performance of the company’s computers since the first days when Apple switched to its own chips.
He also said that Apple is currently working on improving the performance of GPUs. From the affordable MacBook Air to the Mac Studio, Apple wants the entire Mac lineup to have powerful graphics chips.
Millett believes that video game developers have not yet had time to adapt to the company’s chips, as they have “never seen the 96 GB of video memory” in the M2 Max chip.
