The first test results of the yet unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor appeared on the network, which reveals the superiority of Qualcomm chips over Apple. In this respect informs MyDrivers version.
The engineering version of Snapdragon 8 Gen3 was tested in Geekbench 5 test. In single-core mode, the processor showed 1930 points and in multi-core mode – 6236 points. This result is 20% superior to Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and also 1877 and multi-core modes in single-core and multi-core modes, respectively. With 5447 points, it narrowly beats the Apple A16 Bionic.
The exact specifications of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 are currently unknown. Meanwhile, the chip will reportedly receive eight cores: one high-performance Cortex-X4, five auxiliary and two energy-efficient. This arrangement is expected to reduce energy efficiency by 20% compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen2.
According to MyDrivers, Snapdragon 8 Gen3 will be unveiled at the end of 2023 at the Snapdragon Technology Summit.
