Apple refused to release its flagship Mac Studio computer with the M2 Ultra chip, due to the Mac Pro’s imminent announcement. In this respect informs The Macrumors portal with reference to journalist Mark Gurman.

“I wouldn’t expect Mac Studio to come out in the near future. The upcoming Mac Pro is very similar to Mac Studio in terms of functionality – both can use M2 Ultra. “Therefore, it doesn’t make sense for Apple to offer Mac Studio and Mac Pro on M2 Ultra chips at the same time.”

According to him, Apple will either delay the release of the next-generation Mac Studio until the M3 or M4 chips are introduced, or it will never update this device.

Perhaps the company will decide to release the Mac Studio only by 2025-2026, when it can install a more powerful Extreme chip in a Mac Pro computer.
