Ukrainian hackers Phoenix joined the Russian group KillNet to avenge their accomplices arrested in Ukraine. Killmilk, the leader of the KillNet hacker group, told socialbites.ca about this.

According to Killmilk, Ukrainian hackers began anonymously participating in KillNet-organized DDoS attacks against Western organizations in the early summer of 2022. The hacker claims that Phoenix, along with KillNet, attacked the Pentagon’s network resources in June.

“The goal of this group is very simple – revenge. Revenge for the arrest of his five brothers. After detention, there was a one-year canonical break. After that, Phoenix came to the defense of the Russian Federation,” he said.

Initially, Phoenix was located on the territory of Ukraine and specialized in hacking smartphones and legalizing stolen iPhones by unlocking them. In November 2021, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced the capture of five members of the group. – slightly fixed

Recently, according to Killmilk, Phoenix carried out DDoS attacks on German social services to protest the handover of German tanks to the Armed Forces by Chancellor Olaf Scholz, but in the near future the “business” landscape of the group will change to expand.

“Phoenix plans to start work on mercenaries soon on Ukrainian soil. There is already enough data on many people. “The details of the impending attack were not disclosed, but it is known that these will be relatives and friends who sent the mercenaries to their deaths,” he said.

Killmilk said KillNet and Phoenix are currently in communication and partnership. It is unknown why the merger of the two groups was announced at this time.
