Smartphone owners can use their device to find a hidden camera at home, including infrared (IR), invisible to the human eye. It was reported by journalists Boundary.
It is recorded that the infrared camera works according to the movement of people and takes pictures in dim rooms. The smartphone camera will be able to “see” the infrared ray. Owners first need to check if the smartphone detects IR signals using the TV remote control.
When you turn on the remote control, you need to point the camera. A light source must be visually visible, constantly lit or flashing. According to journalists, most often this method only works for front cameras, but for some devices, such as the Pixel 6, the main camera also “sees” IR signals.
Also, users were advised to check if there is anything extra connected to the local network from the devices. There are a number of such applications. Journalists recommended Fing, which is available for both Android and iOS. The application finds and lists all devices on the network.
