Insurgents in the Brazilian capital used a special map distributed through the Telegram messenger to coordinate the actions. This is reported by the local portal UOL.
Instead of tourist destinations, the online map “Journey to the Beach” showed 43 cities in Brazil where you can take a bus to “Selma’s Party” with the contact details of the transport organizers.
According to journalists, “Selma’s Party” is a code used by the organizers of the Brazilian riots to hide their preparations for attacks on government buildings in the country’s capital after the presidential election.
The map was distributed through a Telegram group with 18,000 active members. Some of the discussions the journalists managed to keep were about the trip to Brazil and the things to take with you.
“If you cry during the party, it’s important that everyone has it with them, including a mask and salt water to dry, so you don’t burn yourself with pepper pie,” one of the messages says.
It was previously reported that more than two thousand people were detained during the pogroms in Brazil. Supporters of the former President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, who lost the election on January 8, took over the building but later the security forces managed to regain control over government facilities.
