Google and Nvidia expressed their concerns about the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. It has been reported Bloomberg cites sources familiar with the situation..

Google and Nvidia are known to have shared their concerns with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), stating that Microsoft may gain an “unfair advantage” in the gaming market after the acquisition. Thus, the two IT giants supported Sony, which had made similar statements before.

The FTC has been trying to block the deal to buy Activision Blizzard since late last year, saying the takeover would hamper competition in the industry. The transaction, whose total amount is estimated at $ 69 billion, is expected to be closed in June 2023, if approved by all authorized regulatory agencies.

Microsoft announced that it was acquiring Activision Blizzard in early 2022. As a result of the agreement, Microsoft will own game series such as Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Overwatch and Candy Crush.

Formerly socialbites.ca reportedThat Microsoft offered Sony a contract where games from the Call of Duty series would continue to be released on PlayStation consoles for the next 10 years, even after Activision Blizzard’s acquisition.
