At the Consumer Electronics Show 2023 (CES 2023), cult Japanese audio manufacturer Roland presented its 50th Anniversary Concept Piano synthesizer concept with a built-in tablet and flying drone-shaped speakers. About informs Gizmodo version.
The body and special seat of the 50th Anniversary Concept Piano are made of solid Japanese oak pieces. The keyboard is covered with an oval cover. When turned on, the built-in monitor with the touch input interface slides back in front of the user’s face.
The 50th Anniversary Concept Piano has 14 speakers that can provide a “concert” music sound. Of these, four loudspeakers are aerial drones in a circle above the musician. Like the synthesizer itself, drones have a body made of cast wood chips.
As the 50th Anniversary Concept Piano is a purely concept device, Roland has no plans to sell this model.
